Jazz Ain't Dead Joyce Soho Project
This is a project I was part of during the school year. Jazz Aint Dead Artistic Director Candice Franklin. We performed this winter season at Joyce Soho and it was truly an experience. One of the things I appreciate from this was the dancers ability to adapt to the variety of styles the choreographer demanded and also the use of live music, media and vernacular jazz dance.
Media in Dance
Combining art, science and media to a performance or any type of exhibit is a true enhancement. Media in Dance is something for dance educators to discover in their field because it allows students to learn through other interdisciplinary work and digital technologies.
I have seen my fellow classmates take risks in integrating media in their approach to choreography, dance performance and unit lesson planning which was very inspiring. Dance has to continue finding new ways of reaching new audiences and I think technology is one of the key elements in providing a modern approach to dance performance and especially dance education.

Technology Resource Course
Learning how to build a website, animating images, using Audacity to personalize audio tracks and making movies are all fundamental tools to learn as an artists, I am pleased to learn these assets but upset that I had trouble keeping up with the class due to my laptop. If I could say one thing about buying a PC computer is that it's a waste of money.. you are better off with a MAC!
